It is hereby declared that the term of office df the councillors of the Coimbatore Municipal Council shall be deemed to have expired on the 30th day of June 1975 and accordingly, all couilcill~rs of the Coimbltore Municipal Council including its Chair an, Vice-Chairman and Members of the Committees estaqished or constituted by or under the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 (Tamil Nadu Act V of 1920) (hereinafter referred to as the 1920 Act), shall be deemed to have vacated their office on the 30th day of June 1975.
