(1) Any reference in the City Police Act as extended by this Act to a law which is not in force in the City of Tiruppur on the appointed day shall, in relation to the said City, be construed as a reference to the corresponding law, if any, in force in the said City. (2) Any reference to the Tamil Nadu District Police Act, 1859 in any law in force in the City of Tiruppur shall, in relation to the City, be construed, on and after the appointed day, as a reference to the City Police Act.
