(2) Before pu blisl~ing a notification under sub-section (I), the Government shall communicate to the State Board the grounds on whichr;hey propose to do so, ex a, reasonable , 'period for the State 7osrd to show cause against the proposal r and consider its explimntions or objections, if any. (3) On the date fixed for the dissoIution of the State t - Board' under sub-section (1); all its members as well as I . . . its Chairman shall be deemed to have vacated their offices . and fresh appointments shall be made in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the Chairlnan and the members newly appointed shall enter upon their offices on the date fixed for the reconsitutio~~ of the State Board, (4) Supersession shall take effect from noon on the date specified in the notification or if no date is specified, on the date of publication of the notification, and thereupon the following consequences shaII ensue :- (a) A,: :~embers of the State Board as well as it8 Chairr~an shall be deemed to have vacatcd their officcs. - - - ----.-.-.--... - 1958: T.N. Act XV] (b) All or any of the powers and functions of the ' State Board and of its Chairman shall, during the period of superscssicn, be exercised and performed, as far as may be, and to silch extent as the Government may determine, by such pwsons 01. by suth authority as the Government C may appoint in that behalf.
