Annual audit of accounts

Annual audit of accounts.- (1) The accounts of the Board shall be examined and audited once at least in every financial year by the Examiner of Local Fund Accounts. (2) The accounts of the Board as certified by the Examiner of Local Fund Accounts together with the audit report along with the remarks of the Board thereon shall be forwarded to the Government within such time as may be prescribed. (3) The Government may, by order in writing, direct the Board to take such action as may be specified in the order to remedy within such time as may be specified therein, the defects, if any, disclosed as a result of the audit, and the Board shall comply with such directions.
