Short title, extent and commencement.-(1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987. 4 (2) It extends to the whole of the Tamil Nadu. (3) The provisions of sub-sections (2) and (4) of section 22 and sub- sections (5) and (7) if section 37 shall come into force at once and the remaining and provisions of this Act shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different areas and for different provisions of this Act.
