(1) For the purposes of this Act, the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, in addition to its existing composition shall consist of such number of Technical Members not exceeding two, to be known as Technical Member (Atomic Energy) having expertise in matters related to nuclear energy and of such rank as may be notified by the Central Government. (2) The Technical Member (Atomic Energy) shall be appointed from a panel prepared by the search-cum-selection committee with such composition and in such manner as may be prescribed. (3) The term of office, the salaries and allowances payable to, and other terms and conditions of service of the Technical Member (Atomic Energy) shall be the same as applicable to the other members of the Appellate Tribunal.
