(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003.), the Central Government shall fix the tariff for supply of electricity from nuclear power plants based on such norms and mechanisms as may be specified by it by notification. (2) While specifying the norms and mechanisms under sub-section (1), the Central Government shall have regard to the cost of fuel, cost of spent fuel management, decommissioning cost and such other services or factors as may be deemed necessary.
