Section 49

High Courts for the new States.

(1) The High Courts exercising immediately before the appointed day jurisdiction in relation to the existing States of Bombay, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab shall, as from the appointed day, be deemed to be the High Courts for the new States of Bombay, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab, respectively. (2) As from the appointed day, there shall be established a High Court for each of the new States of Kerala, Mysore and Rajasthan.
