Whoever sells, uses or keeps for use any weight or measure which, being required to be verified and stamped under this Act, has not been so verified and stamped, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months.or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both,and, for the second- or subsequent offence, wi.th imprisonment for <I term which may extend to one year and also with fine. ,t
