(1) The Chief Town Planner shall notify the regional development plan, as modified under section 15, iLl the Official Gazette, and also in one or more local newspapers, indicating therein the piace or places where copies of the same may be inspected and inviting comments in writing from the public on the regional develop- ment plan within such period as may be specified in such notification: Provided that such period shall not be less than two months from the date on which the regional development plan is published in the Offica! Gazette. (2) After the expiry of the period mentioned in sub-section (1), the Chief Town Planner shall submit the comments received from the public to the Board for its consideration. (3) The Chief.Town Plannershall, if necessary, revise the regional development plan, in the light of any modifications suggested by the Board and submit them to the Government together with the comments received from the public on the regional development plan for approval.
