(1) The StateGovernment may by notification in the Official Gaz.ette exempt the applicablllly of this Act to the members of community or tribe or sect or such other cat~gory etc. as may be specilied if it is considered expedient to do so, (2) The State Government may by notification withdraw or revoke such exemption prospectively.
