(1) (2) (3) There shall be established and incorporated a University by the name of the Sikkim Skill University at Sikkim. The University shall situate and have its headquarters in the Namthang, Rateypani, South Sikkim. The first Chancellor and the first Vice-Chancellor of the University and the first members of the Governing Body, Board of Management and the Academic Council and all persons, who may hereafter become such officers or members, so long as they continue to hold such office or membership, are hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of the Sikkim Skill University, Sikkim. The University shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name. The University will have Centres of Excellence for promoting professional and vocational education in and outside the country through formal, informal, face-to-face, regular, research, industry integrated, part-time, open, online and virtual education modes.
