(1) Notwithstanding any vacancy in the membership of the Zilla Punchayat, the prescribed authority shall as soon may be (but before the expiration of thirty days from the date of pu bl ic.uion of the notification under section 55) cull a meeting of the members ofa Zilla Panchnyat at such place and at such time as he may fix for electing an Adhakshya and Up-Adhakshya, (2) The meeting to be held under sub-section (1) shall be called the first meeting of the Zilla Panchaynt and may be convened by the prescribed authority in such manner as may be prescribed.
