Removal of encroachment and imposition of penalty.- (1) Any officer authorized by the Authority in this behalf may remove any encroachment from the premises of a notified bus terminal, after giving a reasonable opportunity of being heard to the person concerned, and in doing so he may use reasonable force. 7 (2) In addition to removal of such encroachment, the officer referred to in sub-section (1) may also impose on the encroacher a penalty not exceeding rupees twenty five thousand and may recover such penalty along with the cost of removal of such encroachment from the encroacher.
