Objects of University.- The University shall be deemed to have been established and incorporated for the purpose, among others, of- (i) education, research and dissemination of knowledge in physical education and sports; (ii) to monitor physical education and sports at all levels in the State academically: Provided that such monitoring shall not infringe the activities of the Rajasthan State Sports Council in any manner; (iii) to prepare highly qualified leaders in the field of physical education and sports coaching; Hkkx 4 ¼d½ jktLFkku jkt&i=] flrEcj 16] 2013 41¼41½ 41 (iv) to function as a Centre of Excellence in Academics for generating human resource of higher caliber, for further development of sports; (v) to be the premier and elite sports centre for research in sports science and its practical application, for improving the sports performance of sportspersons; (vi) to be the hub of training (Higher Performance Training Centre) for sportspersons; (vii) to be a comprehensive Sports Medicine Centre for evaluation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of athletes; (viii) to provide the latest sports infrastructure of international standards, indoor and outdoor; and (ix) to provide a centre for faculty exchange and for collaborating research among the various universities in the country and abroad.
