(1) There shall be an Academic Council of the University, consisting of the following as members, namely:- (a) the Vice-Chancellor- ex-officio Chairman; (b) the Pro-Vice-Chancellor; (c) all Professors appointed by the University; (d) the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, Home Department or his nominee not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan; (e) the Principal Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, Higher Education Department or his nominee not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan; (f) the Director, Rajasthan Police Academy, Jaipur; (g) one educationist to be nominated by the Chancellor; (h) two persons nominated by the State Government, of which one shall be a professional of repute and one shall be an educationist having domain expertise in the thrust areas of the University; (i) three faculty members of the University (other than Professors) to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; and (j) the Registrar of the University, Member-Secretary. (2) The term of office of nominated members shall be two years.
