Registrars and Sub-Registrars.

The 1 [State Government] may appoint such persons, whether public officers or not, as it thinks proper, to be Registrars of the several districts, and to be Sub-Registrars of the several sub-districts, formed as aforesaid, respectively. 2 * * * * * STATE AMENDMENT Karnataka Amendment of section 6.-- In section 6 of the Registration Act, 1908 (Central Act 16 of 1908) the following provisos inserted, namely:-- "Provided that the State Government may also appoint one or more Sub-Registrars for the same Sub-District: Provided further that the State Government may delegate to the Inspector-General of Registration, the power of appointing Sub-Registrars."
