Departments/ Centres.- (1) Each School may comprise of Departments, Centres and/or other academic units, as the Board of Management may, in consultation with the President, determine.- (2) Each Department /Centre shall consist of — (a) Principal / Head of the Department or a person “for the time being in-charge of the Department, appointed by the President in consultation with the Chairperson (b) Teachers assigned to the Department; (c) Such Honorary/Adjunct/Visiting/Professor Emeritus attached to the Department as determined by the Board of Management. (d) Persons (howsoever designated) appointed to conduct or assist in teaching or research in the Department. (e) Such other persons as the Board of Management may the Board of determine; Page 8 of 25 (f) Such administrative support staff as the Board of Management may, from time to time, allocate. (3) The powers and functions of the Head of a Department or a person in-charge of a Department shall be as prescribed by the Board of Management.
