REGISTRAR (1) The Registrar shall be an officer of the University appointed by the Board on the recommendation of the selection committee consisting of the Vice-Chancellor and such other members as may be prescribed. (2) The Registrar shall be responsible for the custody of the records and the common seal of the University. He shall be ex-officio secretary of the Academic Council and may call on the service of other employees of the University for recording its proceedings. He shall place before it all such Information as may be necessary for the transaction of its business. He shall receive applications for entrance to the University and shall keep a permanent record of all syllabi, curricula and such other informations as may be deemed necessary, (3) The Registrar shall make all necessary arrangement for the conduct of the prescribed examinations and be responsible for the due execution of all processes connected therewith. (4) The Registrar shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed or required of him from time to time by the Vice-Chancellor.
