Notice of deaths and erasure of names from register. - (1) Every Registrar of deaths who receives notices of the death of a person whose name he knows to be entered in a register or list shall forthwith transmit by post or otherwise to the Registrar, a certificate of such death signed by him and stating particulars of the time and place of death. (2) On receipt of such certificate or other reliable information regarding such death the Registrar shall remove the name of the deceased person from the register or list, as the case maybe.
