Academic Council.- (1) There shall be an Academic Council of the University, consisting of the following as members, namely:- (a) the Vice-Chancellor-Ex-officio Chairman; (b) Deans of Faculties; (c) one Professor from each faculty to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (d) one Principal/Director of a constituent college to be nominated by the Vice Chancellor; (e) the Secretary in charge of Higher Education Department or his nominee not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government; 531 राजस्थान राज-पत्र, सितम्बर 24, 2021 भाग 4 (क) (f) the Secretary in charge of Technical Education Department or his nominee not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government; (g) the Commissioner/Director, as the case may be, of College Education Department, Government of Rajasthan; (h) the Commissioner/Director, as the case may be, of Technical Education Department, Government of Rajasthan; (i) Chairmen, Boards of Studies; (j) two Principals of affiliated colleges, one from Government Colleges and another from Private Colleges, to be nominated by the State Government; (k) two persons having special attainment in the field of studies not being employees of the University, one to be nominated by the Chancellor and the other by the State Government; (l) one teacher other than the Professors, from a constituent college/University Department having a minimum ten years experience in teaching degree or post-graduate classes to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (m) one teacher other than the Principals, from an affiliated college having a minimum ten years experience in teaching degree or post-graduate classes to be nominated by the State Government; and (n) the Registrar of the University, Member-Secretary. Explanation.- For the purpose of this sub-section, “Secretary in charge” means the Secretary in charge of the Department and includes an Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary when he is in charge of a department. (2) The term of office of nominated members shall be two years.
