(1) The Government may, by a notification in the Official Gazette, delegate to any officer subordinate to it or delegate to the Board all or any powers conferred on it by or under this Act, other than the power to make rules. (2) The Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, delegate such functions and powers of the Board as are provided under this Act, as may be specified in the notification, to a local authority and such local authority shall exercise such powers and discharge such functions of the Board under this Act. (3) The Board may, by an order, assign and delegate any of its functions and powers to its Managing Director or any other member or to any officer or employee of the Board subject to such conditions or limitations as it may deem fit except the function and power of making regulations. (4) The Board may, by an order, assign and delegate any of its functions and powers to any Committee, or to any officer or employee of the Board, subject to such conditions or limitations as it may deem fit.
