Age.- A candidate for direct recruitment for posts enumerated in the Schedule must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of & “40 years” on the first day of January next following the last day fixed for receipt of applications: Provided – 1(i) “the upper age limit mentioned above, shall relaxed by,:- (a) 5 years in the case of male candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, backward classes, more backward classes and economically weaker sections; (b) 5 years in the case of women candidates and candidates belonging to general category; and (c) 10 years in the case of woman candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes, Backward Classes, More Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections." Ω Substituted for δ“9. Determination of Vacancies:- (1) Subject to the provisions of these rules, the Appointing Authority shall determine each year the number of vacancies anticipated during the following twelve months and the number of persons likely to be recruited by each method. Such vacancies shall be determined again before the expiry of 12 month of the last determination of such vacancies. (2) In calculating the actual number to be filled by each method on the basis of the percentage prescribed in the schedule, the Appointing Authority shall adopt an appropriate cyclic order to correspond with the proportion laid down in the schedule by giving precedence to promotion quota over direct recruitment quota e.g. where appointment by direct recruitment and promotion is in the percentage of 75 and 25, respectively, the cycle shall run as follows :-
