Chief Engineer By promotion 100% Must hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical & Electrical Engineering of a University established by law in India or a degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering of a Foreign University or Institution declared by Government to be equivalent to a Degree of University established by law in India. Must also have a post Graduate Diploma in Water Development resources or hydrology. 10 years' experience in Blasting or Drilling (Experience in Drilling for at least three years essential) of which 5 years must be on a post of the rank equivalent to Additional Chief Engineer or Superintending Engineer. Superintending Engineer or Director, Survey & Research (holding a degree in Mechanical or Mechanical & Electrical Engineering) Must have degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering of a University established by law in India or degree of diploma of Foreign University or Institution declared by Government to be equivalent to a degree of University established by law in India with three years‟ experience on the post of Superintending Engineer or Director Survey & Research (From Engineering wing ).
