Section 23

Power of grantee of land to donate land to Gram Sabha

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Rajasthan Bhoodan Yagna Act. 1954 (Rajasthan Act 16 of 1954), any person who is or who has been granted land by the Bhoodan Board may, if such land is situated in a Gramdan village donate it by way of Gramdan in the same manner and subject to the same conditions as are provided in the case of donation under section 8, and thereupon, subject to the provisions of sub-section (2), the provisions of this Act, shall as far as may be, apply as if such donations were made under that section. (2) With effect from the date on which the declaration referred to in sub-section (1) is continued, all rights, title and interest of such person in or over such land shall, save as otherwise provided by this Act, cease, and shall stand transferred to, and vest in, the Gram Sabha.
