(1) The Government may, by notification, delineate every command area or part thereof, of an irrigation system and declare it to be a project area for the purposes of this Act. (2) There shall be a Project Committee called by its distinct local name for every project area declared under sub-section (1). (3) All the Presidents of the Distributary Committees in the project area, so long as they hold such office by virtue of sub-section (4) of section 7, shall constitute the General Body of the Project committee 4[] . 5[]
