Power to search the premises.-Any Forest Officer holding the charge of Forest Block or his superior, alongwith the team, if required, may at any time, enter the premises of any wood based industrial unit and check the records and take samples, if necessary, with a view to ascertain the genuineness of the licence or registration or to check the legitimacy of the source of wood, type of wood used and machinery installed.
