S "preseribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act; and (i) safety measures" means such measures as are necessary for the prevention, control and fighting of fire and for ensuring the safety of life and property in case of fire as specified in the National Building Code of India, 2005, as ammended from time to time. Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, the Nominated authority may enter and inspect any building or premises or building or premises under construction, if such inspection appears necessary for ascertaining the contravention or the inadequacy of the safety measures in such building or premises, as the case may be.
