Penalty for removal of boundary stones. - Whoever wilfully destroys or injures or without lawful authority, removes a boundary stone or mark lawfully fixed or constructed, the Competent Authority on receipt of the intimation from the Arbitrator or the Authority may order such person to pay a penalty not exceeding five hundred rupees for each stone or mark so destroyed, injured or removed as may in its opinion be necessary to defray the expenses of restoring the same.
