(1) The Punjab Recruitment of Teachers Ordinance, (Punjab Ordinance No. 3 of 1999), is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Ordinance referred to in sub-section (2), shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act. S. S. (EXTRA.), SEPT. 28, 1999 (ASVN. 6, 1921 SAKA) (¢) ‘teachers’ means,— (i) the teachers or lecturers or masters or mistresses, who were regularly selected in pursuance of the advertise- ment, dated the 19th August, 1992, issued by the Department of Education, Punjab, and who were appointed in pursuance thereto, but whose services were terminated on the 13th November, 1997; and (#) the teachers or lecturers or masters or mistresses, who were regularly selected in pursuance of thc advertisement, dated the 19th August, 1992, issued by the Department of Education, Punjab, and who were appointed in pursuance thereto, but were later on regularly selected on a lower cadre post having lower pay scale in pur- suance of the advertisement, dated the 28th December, 1994 and the 12th January, 1996.
