(1) If, in the opinion of the Board, any land is required to be acquired for any activity of the Board, the Board may request the Government to acquire such land under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. (2) Where, in the opinion of the Board, there is suitable land belonging to Government of Punjab, organization or a private individual, it may acquire the said land by way of payment of market value, as fixed by the Deputy Commissioner concerned. (3) The Board may, in case of disagreement with the recommendations of the Deputy Commissioner under sub-section (2), refer the same, along with its views, to the Government, whose decision shall be final.
