Notification The 3rd May, 1971 No. 9-Leg./71.-The fllowing Act of the Legislaturc of the State of Punjab received the assent of the President of India on the 20th April, 1971, and is hereby published for general information - Punjab Act No. 9 of 1971 to provide for the prevention of begging, detention, training and employment of beggars and their dependents in Certified Institutions and the custody, trial and punishment of beggar offenders. AN ACT BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Twenty second Year of the Republic of India as follows : 23
