(I) The Authority may cither suo moto Or on receipt of 5 report from the State Vigilance Committee or a District Vigilance Committee, shall issue a notice to the persons running the genetic clinic, genetic laboratory or genetic counselling centre in respect of which certificate of registration has been granted under section 10, to show cause why the certificate of registration should not be suspended or cancelled for the reasons mentioned in the notice so issued, (2) If, after giving a reasonable opportunity to the person op whom notice has been served under sub-section ([), the Authority is satisfied that there has been a breach of any of the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder, it may, without prejudice to any other action that it may take against him, suspend or cancel his certificate of regis- tration for such period as it may think fit.
