(1) Any order or orders, issued by the State Government under section 46 of the Police Act, 1861, extending its operation from time to time to the territories of the State of Punjab, shall be deemed to have been withdrawn on and with effect from the date of commencement of this Act. Power to remove difficulties. Power to try cases summarily. Provision of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 to apply to this Act. Withdrawal of orders. (2) Notwithstanding such withdrawal, anything done or any action taken or any proceedings instituted by virtue of the order or orders, referred to in subsection (1), shall be deemed to have been done or taken or instituted under this Act.
