Notification of election and Oath of allegiance by members of Panchayat Samitis.-- (1) Every election of a member of a Panchayat Samiti shall be notified by the State Government in the official Gazette and no member shall enter upon his duties until his election has been so notified and notwithstanding anything contained in the Indian Oaths Act, 4969 until he has taken or made an Oath or affirmation of his allegiance in the form specified in Schedule |. (2) If any such person refuses to take or make such oath or affirmation, as the case may be, shall be deemed to be invalid and a fresh election shall take place. a (3) No person whose election has been deemed to be invalid under sub-section (2) shall be eligible for election to any Panchayat Samiti for a period oruwo years from the date on which he ought to have taken or made such oath or affirmation.
