Right of appeal of employees.— (1) An employee of a Panchayat aggrieved by an order involving punishment imposed on him by the Panchayat may, within the prescribed period prefer an appeal,— (a) in the case of Gram Panchayat to the Block Development and Panchayat Officer; (b) in the case of Panchayat Samiti, to the Deputy Commissioner; and (c) in the case of Zila Parishad to the Commissioner. (2) any order passed under sub-section (1) shall be subject to revision by,— (a) the Commissioner if the order has been passed by the Deputy commissioner; and (b) the State Government, if the order has been passed by the Commissioner.
