Chief Executive Officer and Officers of Zila Parishads

Chief Executive Officer and Officers of Zila Parishads.-- (1) The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) in every district shall be the ex officio Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad of that district and an officer of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats not below the rank of District Development and Panchayat Officer shall be the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad. (2) The State Government may also appoint an Accounts Officer for each Zila Parishad. (3) In addition to the officers referred in sub-sections (1) and (2) the State Government may appoint from time to time in every Zila Parishad such officers out of the officers of the State Government including officers of Indian Administrative Service working under the control of the State Government as the State Gavernment may consider necessary. (4) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or any other law, for the time being in force, the State Government or any other officer or authority authorised by the State Government in this behalf shall have the * powers to effect the transfer of officers appointed under sub-section (3) from one district to another district. .
