Nomination Paper.- (1) Every nomination paper presented under section 38 of the Act shall be in Form 20 and shall be presented to the Returning Officer by the candidate himself or his proposer during the hours of eleven O'clock of the forenoon and three O'clock of the afternoon or such other hours as may be fixed for this purpose on date/dates and places fixed for filing the nomination paper. (2) The nomination paper of a member scheduled castes or backward classes shall be accompanied by a declaration by the candidate indicating the scheduled caste or backward class to which he belongs, (3) The nomination paper of a candidate for a constituency reserved for scheduled castes or backward classes, shall be accompanied by a certificate issued by the Deputy Commissioner or the Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) of the area of which the candidate is ordinarily resident certifying that the candidate belongs to scheduled castes or backward classes, as the case may be and specifying the particulars of the scheduled caste or backward class to which the candidate belongs. (4) For every candidate, fee as specified below will be deposited either in cash with the Returning Officer along with the nomination paper or in the Treasury in the 'Head' to be specified by the Commission. For election to: (a) Municipal Corporation Rs. 200 (b) Municipal Council Class – I Rs. 150 (c) Municipal Council Class-11 Rs. 100 (d) Municipal Council Class III & Nagar Panchayats Rs.. 100 Where the fee has been deposited in Treasury receipt in respect thereof shall be attached with the nomination paper: Provided that for scheduled castes the fee will be fifty per cent of full fee specified above .
