Delimitation of wards.-(1) For the purposes of election of councillors, the City shall be divided into single-member wards in such manner that the popula- tion of each of the wards shall, so far as practicable, be the same throughout the City. (2) The Government shall, by order in the Official Gazette, determine the extent of each ward and the wards in which seats shall be reserved for Scheduled Castes. Section 9
