(1) The Executive Council shall be the principal executive body of the University, which shall be headed by the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be its ex-officio Member and Chairperson. (2) The Executive Council shall consist of the following ex-officio members, namely:- (i) Administrative Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Sports and Youth Services; (ii) Administrative Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Finance; (iii) Administrative Secretary to Government of Punjab, Department of Higher Education; and (iv) Director Sports, Punjab. In addition to the ex-officio members, other members of the Executive Council, their term of office, powers and duties shall be such as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
