Discharge of duties of collector dying or being disabled.— _ When a Collector dies or is disabled from performing his duties, the officer a who succeeds temporarily to the chief executive administration of the district of the same or a higher class, he shall under any orders which may be generally or specially issued by the [State] Government on this behalf, shall be deemed to be a Collector under this Act.
