Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Punjab Town Improvement Act, 1922, on and from the date of establishment of the Board, the Improvement Trusts constituted under the said Act, may if so directed by the State Government function as agents of the Board in respect of any scheme and shall for the execution of the scheme, work under the directions and control of the Board.
