(1) This Act may be called the Punjab Horse Race (Regulation short title and and Management) Act, 2013. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Punjab. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and different provisions may be applied to different places. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, (a) "betting" or "betting activity" shall mean and include all such activities during the horse race, pursuant to which a bet or commencement. BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Sixty- fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
