(1) There shall be established a University by the name of “Gy Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University” having jurisdiction jp x the whole of the State of Punjab. (2) The University shall be a body corporate by the name specified in sub-section (1) and shall have perpetual succession and common seal. It shall have the power to acquire, hold and dispose of property both movable and immovable and shall sue and be sued by the said name. (3) The headquarters of the University shall be at Ludhiana or at such place, as may be specified by the State Government by notification inthe Official Gazette from time to time. (4) The University shall not lease, sell or otherwise transfer any immovable property, which may have been vested in, or acquired by it, without obtaining the prior approval of the State Government.
