(1) There shall be a Director of Research in the University, who shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor and who shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor mn consultation with the Dean and with the approval of the Board. (2) The Director of Research shall be a whole time officer, trained in Veterinary and Animal Sciences and shall initiate, guide and co-ordinate the research programmes of the University and its institutions.
