Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, the Punjab premises and Land (Eviction and Rent Recovery) Act, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) shall apply to common purposes land which shall be deemed to be public premises for the purposes of the principal Act.
