(1) If a person obstructs a Fire Officer or causes anyone else to obstruct such Fire Officer from entering a building or pandal for inspection, he shall be punishable under section 221 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act No. 45 of 2023). (2) To initiate the process of punishment under this section, the Fire Officer who was obstructed, or some officer superior in rank to that officer, shall make a formal complaint in writing in accordance with section 215 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (Central Act 46 of 2023).
