Evidence of Clerks serving in Govt. Department. - In order to avoid criticism the po- lice while arranging a raid should always make an earnest efforts to associate with them out- siders having some status in life. No hard and fast rule can be laid down about the association in a raiding party, of an upper division clerk serving the Government. It cannot be said that. such a witness has no such status as to justify conviction being based on his corroborative statement in all circumstances.
