Determination and revision of standard areas: (1) The 1[State] Government shall after considering the objections, if any received within three months of the date publication of the notification under sub-section (2) of section 4 in the estate concerned and making such further inquiry as it may deem fit, determine the standard area for each class of land is such notified area. (2) The 1[State] government may, at any time, if it deems it expedient so to do, revise a standard area determined under sub-section (1) such revision shall be made in the manner laid down in section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5. (3) The 1[state] Government shall by notification and in such other manner as may be prescribed, give public notice of any standard area determined under sub-section (1) or revised under sub-section (2).
