Standards for substances (other than food) intended to affect the structure or any function of human body—contraceptives.—(1) The standards for mechanical contraceptives shall be such as are laid down in Schedule R. (2) The standards which other contraceptives will have to comply with shall be in conformity with the formulae approved as safe and efficacious by the Central Government. Such formula shall be displayed on the label of every container of such contraceptive. 5[125A.
